Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson
The Applied Environmental Research Center (AERC) analyized the shoreline and determined the extent and rate of shoreline loss on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The project informed management on the timelines needed to adapt to threats and conditions posed by natural events.
Project goals: Develop a protocol for data collection that will allow long-term evaluation of changes to topographic features on JBER, gather baseline data on JBER鈥檚 shoreline conditions using the protocols, and make recommendations for future data collection.
