Donors Raise $25,499 for CBPP Programs

Over a whirlwind 49 hours from October 21-23, donors participated in the first ever UA Giving Day, choosing to support a number of programs throughout the UA system.
Faculty, staff and students in the College of Business and Public Policy extend a heartfelt 鈥淭hank You鈥 to donors who collectively raised $25,499 for the College鈥檚 programs. Donations came from within Alaska and from supporters in eight other states.
鈥淲e are inspired by the generosity shown for our programs,鈥 said Interim Dean John Nosfinger. 鈥淒onors stepped up to three challenges from faculty to support the Tom Case Leadership Fellows program and the Weidner Property Management and Real Estate Program Excellence Fund. They also donated to scholarship funding and other programs that encourage student success.鈥
鈥淭hese gifts are a critically important source of revenue to our University,鈥 said Nofsinger. 鈥淭hey have a direct impact for all of our students by providing them with tuition support, resources that provide them with a positive educational experience and additional opportunities for extracurricular participation.鈥
If you missed the 49 hours of giving, you can still . Many thanks.
