2025 WPM+RE Award Recipients Honored at Annual Luncheon

On Friday, March 28, the Weidner Property Management and Real Estate Program (WPM+RE) celebrated the accomplishments of 24 students by awarding $54,000 in academic and travel support during its annual awards luncheon. The event welcomed students, alumni, and Advisory Board members to campus for an afternoon of recognition and connection.

Made possible by the continued support of Weidner Apartment Homes鈥攁nd with additional contributions from Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, the Institute of Real Estate Management and the National Apartment Association鈥攖hese awards help students pursue professional development opportunities and reduce financial barriers. Travel awards will allow students to attend high-profile industry events such as the 2025 NAA Apartmentalize Conference in Las Vegas and the IREM Global Summit in Boston.

鈥淭he annual WPM+RE Awards Luncheon is one of my favorite events each year,鈥� said Terry Fields, associate professor and program director. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an opportunity to reward our students鈥� successes and motivate them to continue learning and developing their skills. It鈥檚 also a wonderful opportunity to bring our supportive advisory board members on-campus to network with students and share in their excitement!鈥�

This year鈥檚 recipients represent the future of the real estate and property management industries鈥攂ringing talent, passion, and professionalism to every opportunity they pursue.
