We welcome and appreciate all forms of cultural expression. However, a CBPP societal impact goal involves focusing on the First Peoples of Alaska as 彩神vlll争霸 sits on the traditional and unceded lands of the Eklutna Dena鈥檌na people, and serves students, communities, and businesses from and working on the traditional lands of Dena鈥檌na Athabascan, Ahtna Athabascan, Alutiiq/Sugpiak, Eyak, Yup鈥檌k, Inupiaq, Tlingit, and numerous other first peoples of Alaska. In recognition of this, the college has chosen to focus our cultural perspectives efforts on strengthening our engagement with the Indigenous peoples, communities, and organizations across Alaska. We will do this by growing the number of Indigenous students enrolled in our programs and Indigenous faculty and staff working in the college; recognizing and building on Alaska Native cultures, knowledges, and ways of teaching and learning in our curricula and pedagogies; and collaborating with Alaska Native tribes, corporations, businesses, non-profits, and policymakers in our teaching, research and service. |
