- What does the fee cover?A nominal fee covers less than one third the costs of providing these high-quality academies, which include instruction from 彩神vlll争霸 Engineering faculty and students, lunch, and other expenses and materials. Generous donations from ConocoPhillips Alaska and MTA Foundation cover the remaining costs.
- I can't afford the fee. Should I still apply?Yes! We want all qualified students to be able to attend the academies, regardless of ability to pay.
- I'm a student in high school. Will these academies be challenging to me?Yes. There are a number of more advanced courses specifically targeted to high school students.
- How does the lottery system work?During the first week of March, applicants will be included in a randomized lottery selection process. Applicants will be notified by email to which academies they have been admitted after the lottery selection. Upon receipt of the admittance email, participants will be asked to complete the registration process by the enrollment deadline included in the email.
- What happens after the lottery?Upon completion of the lottery selection process, participants will receive a 鈥�Confirmation of 彩神vlll争霸 SEA Admitted Academies鈥� email. If a participant is not admitted to the maximum number of desired academies, participants may opt to enroll during open enrollment, not to exceed three academies per summer, should vacant seats remain.
- I missed my Registration Deadline. What happens now?If you do not register and pay for a session that your participant has been admitted to by your Registration Deadline, your participant will be removed from the session. You may reapply during open enrollment should seats be available.
- I submitted an application, but did not receive an 鈥淐onfirmation of 彩神vlll争霸 SEA Admitted
Academies鈥� email. What do I do?After submitting an application, parents should receive an 鈥�Confirmation of 彩神vlll争霸 SEA Admitted Academies鈥� email within five (5) business days. If you have not received an 鈥淎pplication Confirmation鈥� email, please contact us at sea@alaska.edu
- I received an 鈥淐onfirmation of 彩神vlll争霸 SEA Admitted Academies鈥� email, but my participant鈥檚
choices are not correct (or there are no choices indicated). Why is that & how do
